Dr. Peters is a board certified urologist who specializes in treating male patients with sexual and urinary dysfunction using an array of medical and surgical therapies including urologic prosthetics, implants and reconstructive surgery. He is considered a “high volume” penile implant and prosthetic surgeon.
As an attending urologic surgeon at a tertiary academic medical center, Dr. Peters works closely with primary care providers and other specialists, including cardiologists, endocrinologists and sleep medicine physicians, to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions that contribute to urinary and sexual dysfunction, as well as male-factor infertility, emphasizing a well-rounded, whole-patient approach to improving their overall health and quality of life.
As part of the teaching faculty at the NYU Long Island School of Medicine, Dr. Peters has the privilege to share his knowledge and surgical expertise with medical students, as well as future urologists in the NYU Long Island School of Medicine Urology residency training program. Dr. Peters is also an active educator in the community, regularly conducting patient education and primary care provider seminars throughout the year on topics ranging from Peyronie’s disease, ED and ejaculatory dysfunction, to urethral stricture disease, urinary incontinence and BPH. In addition to his role at the NYU Long Island School of Medicine, Dr. Peters is also the Director of Ambulatory Clinical Urology at the Long Island Community Hospital in Suffolk County.
